Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Visit our registration page and fill in your details. Once registered, you can log in to your client area to manage your services, domains, and billing.

How do I order a hosting plan?

Browse our hosting plans, select the plan that suits your needs, choose a billing cycle (monthly or annually), and add it to your cart. You can also register or transfer a domain during checkout.

How do I log in to my client area?

Go to the login page and enter your registered email address and password. From the client area you can manage your services, view invoices, open support tickets, and update your profile.


Hosting

What is included with my hosting plan?

All shared hosting plans from Senanghost.com include:

  • Free SSL certificates
  • cPanel control panel access
  • Email accounts
  • MySQL databases
  • 24/7 technical support

The exact resource allocations (storage, bandwidth, email accounts, etc.) vary by plan. Visit our hosting page for full details on each plan.

Where are your servers located?

Our servers are located in Singapore, providing low latency for visitors in Malaysia and the broader Southeast Asian region.

How do I access cPanel?

Log in to your client area, navigate to Services, select your hosting account, and click the Login to cPanel button. This will automatically log you in via single sign-on (SSO) — no separate cPanel password required.

Can I upgrade my hosting plan?

Yes. You can request an upgrade at any time by contacting our support team through the support ticket system. Upgrades are typically processed promptly and you will only be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing period.

Do you support WordPress?

Yes. All our shared hosting plans support WordPress. You can install WordPress easily through cPanel using Softaculous (one-click installer) or manually.

What programming languages and technologies are supported?

Our shared hosting environment supports PHP (multiple versions), MySQL/MariaDB databases, Python, Perl, and Node.js. cPanel provides tools for managing PHP versions, cron jobs, file management, and more.


Domains

What domain extensions (TLDs) do you offer?

We offer a range of popular domain extensions including .com, .my, .com.my, .net, .org, and more. Visit our domains page to search for availability and see current pricing.

How do I register a domain?

Use the domain search tool on our domains page to check availability. If your desired domain is available, add it to your cart and complete the checkout process.

Can I transfer my domain to Senanghost.com?

Yes. To transfer a domain, ensure it is unlocked at your current registrar and obtain the EPP/authorisation code. Then use our domain transfer option during checkout. Transfer processing times vary by TLD.

How do I manage my domain's nameservers?

Log in to your client area, go to Domains, select the domain you wish to manage, and update the nameservers from the domain details page.

How long does domain registration take?

Most domain registrations are processed instantly. Some TLDs (particularly country-code domains like .my) may require additional verification and can take longer.


Billing & Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept various payment methods. Accepted methods are displayed during checkout. All prices are listed in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR).

When are invoices generated?

Invoices are generated automatically before your service renewal date. You will receive an email notification when a new invoice is available. You can view and pay all invoices from your client area.

What happens if I don't pay my invoice on time?

Unpaid invoices may result in the suspension of associated services. If payment is not received within the grace period, services may be terminated and data may be deleted. We recommend keeping your payment details up to date to avoid interruptions.

How do I cancel my service?

To request a cancellation, open a support ticket from your client area. Please include the service you wish to cancel and whether you want an immediate or end-of-billing-period cancellation.


Website Migration

Can you help me migrate my website from another host?

Yes. We offer website migration assistance for new customers. Contact our support team with your current hosting details and we will work with you to plan the migration. Please note that migration timelines depend on the size and complexity of your website.

Will there be downtime during migration?

We aim to minimise downtime during migrations. The process typically involves copying your files and databases first, then updating DNS once everything is verified. There may be a brief propagation period while DNS updates globally (usually a few hours).


Security

Do you provide SSL certificates?

Yes. Free SSL certificates are included with all hosting plans. SSL is automatically provisioned for your domains through cPanel. You can also install custom or premium SSL certificates if required.

How do I protect my website from attacks?

We recommend keeping all software (CMS, plugins, themes) up to date, using strong passwords, enabling SSL, and regularly backing up your data. If you experience any security issues, contact our support team immediately.

Do you perform backups?

We may perform periodic server-level backups as a courtesy. However, these backups are not guaranteed and should not be relied upon as your sole backup solution. It is your responsibility to maintain your own independent backups. You can create backups through cPanel at any time.

What are your support hours?

Our support team is available:

  • Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (MYT)
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (MYT)

Support tickets and emails received outside of business hours will be addressed on the next business day.

How long does it take to get a response?

We aim to respond to all support tickets as quickly as possible. Response times may vary depending on ticket volume and the complexity of your inquiry.


Account Management

How do I update my personal details?

Log in to your client area and navigate to Profile. From there you can update your name, email, phone number, address, and other account information.

How do I change my password?

Go to your Profile page in the client area and use the Change Password section. Enter your new password and confirm it.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login page, click Forgot Password and enter your registered email address. You will receive an email with instructions to reset your password.
